RTR question

After finally installing Rome Total Realism I’ve run into a little issue that you fine folks might be able to help me with. My campaign as the Roman Republic was going great until I loaded up a battle and zoomed up close to inspect my troops. It felt like my computer hit a particularly bad patch of traffic in Lag City. My mouse was crawling across the screen.

This never used to happen in the original version. I checked all my settings and nothing has changed. Does RTR use higher resolution textures for their units or something? If so is there a way to change it?

Most likely you've been playing for a while without a break.

Generally the longer you play the laggier everything (esp. battles) get. I don't know of any remedy aside from just quitting and reloading.
