Hmmm... the downloads listed include only RTR Gold...
Gold is essentially the same, except for the changes made in patch 1.5. Gold uses RTW patched to 1.2, Platinum to 1.5. Platinum's download link is from the forums, I'm afraid. You can use the Will of the Senate files, found in the Throne Room topic called the Will of the Senate FAQ. However, this has got files of all the mods we're using in the Will of the Senate, so it will give you RTR PE, the Naval mod, Metropolis mod and landblock mod. These make the AI use their navy more effeciently, makes a navy harder to build (only certain ports can build naval warships) and cities harder to hold, as only some have walls. The landblocks stop Bactria expanding into the steppe and stop the Ptolemaics/Carthagians doing a pre-enactment () of Rommel.

What Tiberius just said - you can download the zipped files from the links in the Will of the Senate FAQ. When you extract them, you will get RTR Platinum separate from MedMod etc, so you can install it separately.
I'm really enjoying Goth's All Factions mod 2.4.1 for BI. It's an absolute joy. The combat - morale, kill speeds etc - is close to RTR Platinum and the unit skins are beautiful. Strategically, it plays like BI but with some tweaks to make the hordes more threatening etc. You can download it from:

Patch your BI to 1.6 first though (apparently RTW Gold's BI is not fully patched).
Thanks for the tips. I think I'll wait until the RTR forums come back up to get RTR Platinum. I've just downloaded XGM and so far its great. I'm really enjoying the AoR and the improved map and unit diversity. Thanks.
