    Is $3,500!!!!!!!!!!!

    This is the only product for modeling! I had no idea... I was going to learn to mod, but holy bejesus! Is that right?!?!

    Yeah, we already know that for a looong time.

    The best modelling tool is Autodesk Maya, but that costs about 9000$.

    Yeah but I tought Maya can't be use for modeling for rtw?

    For RTW modding, 3ds max is so far the only option.

    There are lots of other modelling programs out there (Blender is free!) though, so you could at least learn the basics from them.

    If you are a student than you can get a pretty hefty discount on high priced softwares...

    The discount for 3DS Max will go as low as 600-700$. Very expensive anyhow.

    But you can get free trial versions. That can somehow, and I ofcourse have no idea how, become not trail versions anymore.

    No the exact polar opposite of that. It's what most experienced modders say is the best way to get into it.

    Very well put

    Me, I use Rhino for modelling (its kinda like Maya but cheaper) but its not RTW compatible (& I can't do people anyway )
    maybe those guys should be doing something more useful...

    Gmax isn't avaible for download anymore.
