its all fun and games till somone gets hurt then its hilarious
Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. Given that everyone else had Eras as being available in just DVD format, I had a feeling Amazon's listing for Eras as a CD-Rom was a typo.

is there any difference between the cd-rom and dvd-rom versions besides the cd-rom version only being able to be used in a cd-rom?

There isn't a CD-rom version; Eras is only available on DVD.![]()
If a CD version *were* available, however, I imagine it would have to be on more than one disc. (The DVD version has everything on a single disc, if I understand it correctly.)
Edit: Whoops, guess not.![]()

i got Eras... each game and its expansion is on one disc. 6 discs total which also includes the music soundtrack to the games, and a dvd with behind the scenes stuff on it. Alexander expansion for RTW is also on its own disc.
yeah, i guess anyone without a dvd-rom is kind of screwed.

The other way round: a dvd-rom can play cds, but a cd-rom can´t play dvds. But that´s a moot point anyways, since, as Martok says, there is no CD version of eras or RTW Gold.Originally Posted by unseelie craig
And it figures that each game of Eras is on its own disc - MTW-VI are three cds alone, I don´t know about Shogun, but I bet RTW+BI make pretty good use of the space a dvd provides by themselves.
Do they have pie on DVD?
