There is an RPS system in RTW, but it has been weakened since STW. This means RTW requires more precise balancing to make it work properly. Who thinks CA has time to do this more careful balancing? I don't especially when LongJohn said he though 25% imbalance was ok. A multiplayer can easily exploit a 25% imbalance. It was done in STW with the warrior monks and they were only about 15% out of balance. Also, multiplayer requires enough cost differential to fit the units into the RPS system. I would say the minimum should be that the spear cost no more than half of the cav it beats. Triarii do meet that requirement.Originally Posted by Caravel
