The Tsar applaud's the King of France for his forgiving heart and his love of religious tolerance. He is also happy to hear of the Non-Agression pact in the west.

His illustrious majesty wishes to publicly congratulate the King of France's opposition to the repressive rule of the German Emperor and salute his choice of signing a pact of non-agression with the King of Spain. May Allah bestow his mercy and compassion on him for he is a man of virtue and wisdom.

His Imperial and Holy Majesty The Emperor Matthias. To the nations of Europa and Asia

Like a mighty Rock, I stand against the waves of the cowardly, and the un-godly. You the French, whom for we stood against Brandenburg to protect you're special trade treaty. Now we see what you're intention was, to have an excuse to invade the God given lands of the Germans! We shall not waver or fall. To you the Spanish, who once were our brother, yet abandoned us when we wished to protect you're Dutch posessions, now you wish war. Why should I, lawfully elected Emperor stand down because a rebellious traitor wished to take it for himself? I offered him a fair trial, by which I swear on the hallowed name of God! yet he did not wish to come to terms legally for he knew he was in the wrong, so now he wan't war.

    Then, It is War.
May God have mercy on you're souls.

Spain does not wish war against the HRE, but if the Emperor so wishes, Romulos and Remos were brothers also, and that did not prevent bloodshed.

I do advice the Emperor to review his position as I would hate to see a Habsburg as a vassal of France, or worse, the Ottoman Sultan.

As of your accusations, I will blame them on the age of the Emperor. For if it was not for Spanish intervention war would have been upon You several years ago. His Catholic Majesty King Philippe is tired to play his brother's keeper, and so he removes himself from the matters of the HR Emperor.

Spain will not go to war against the HRE unless provoked.

Such is the word of His Catholic Majesty King Philippe III

I never wished to take the title of Emperor!! I only wished to discuss your actions in Bohemia and Poland in a fair and open manner but you attacked me! Now you wish me to stand a trial that is sure to be unfair to me. I did not wish to come to terms because I DO NOT WISH TO DIE BY YOUR HANDS. When did I want war? You my would-be Emperor wanted war. I only wanted to discuss your actions which is mine and all German lords rights as nobles. Now you have the whole world bearing down on you what shall you do? You will never be able to stand the might of the French and the Ottomans.

    God grant us victory,
    Duke of Brandenburg

    "Holy Roman" Emperor,
The Tsar is outraged with your reaction to the Duke of Brandenburg's statement. He was asking to council you and discuss your position in the Russo Ottoman-Polish German conflict rationally and you call him a traitor? How dare you? You do not think rationally, rather, you are driven by your emotions and are distant in spirit from your people. You are acting so irrational that your Brothers in arms are willing to stop you by force. You shun the Duke of Brandenburg who was once your loyal servant. And why? For taking a strategical point of view, for looking out for the German peoples of your Empire? Foolishness and stubborness cloud your vision, and the only thing that will purge the land of your wretched rule is your blood!
Now the Poles and Germans see this is a loosing conflict, and they are merely buying themselves a smally amount of time before they are crushed by the Pan-European Coalition. You cannot stop the wave of Ottoman riders, the ferocity of the Tsar's Cossacks, the ingenuity of the Swedes and possibly the guns of the French. Now, the conflict is looking dismal for you, so the Tsar suggest you and Sigismund of Poland to take a most humble stance toward all of the nations you both respectively have insulted.

We in Poland, are tired of this un-fair conflict between us and the Muscovites. As such, we are officially calling on the Tsar Vasili to end this conflict between Us and your People. We are asking that the Muscovites.

Sign a five-year armistice between our nations.

Have a meeting of all Boyars in the Russian nation, to decide between Vasili and Wladyslaw. Maybe a consular rule can be achieved? Have the candidates attend this meeting, with the armies a fair ten miles from the city. Whoever is chosen signs the five-year armistice, and we discuss borders with them. During the meeting the Polish army will reside ten miles from the city. A cease-fire will be in effect between the acceptance of this proclamation, and the end of the meeting.

If Wladyslaw is elected, he will be disowned by the Commonwealth, and be free to rule as he sees fit. Vasili will disband his army, accept this decision, and retire from the throne.
If Vasili is elected, then we will accept it, and withdraw all Polish troops and candidates to a new border, and be content with a five-year armistice.

We hope you agree to this fair, judicial, and constitutional decision

I seek one compromise, I have already been elected and I will stay as the Tsar. Other than that, I see your armstice as a very good idea. Now, one question arises, if and when the "Holy Roman" Emperor hears of this, will you stand against his possibly hostile actions? Of course you will be aided by all the nations I have dubbed the Pan-European Coalition (Ottomans, Sweden, Myself, and more in the future). War with the HRE seems inevitable, so I just want to know if you can directly aid our cause, or you can indirectly help by allowing us safe passage.

From the court of King James the First of England and Sixth of Scotland

"It would appear we live in moumentous times.
The Kings of Europe would do well to heed the lessons learnt by the ourselves and his highness, the King of Spain - war only brings death, despair and destruction. The honourable resolution of our difficulties enable both countries to flourish and bring civilisation and the word of God to the New World. Words and sharp intellect achieve so much more than the dull instrument of the sword.
    We announce the following:
We will send representation to the meeting of Protestant nations.
We graciously accept the invitation of the Spanish King to his Christmas celebrations and thank him for his splendid invitation. Moreover, we call upon the Kings of Europe to use this opportunity to resolve their difficulties and prevent the scourge of war stalking the continent.
As a nation with nothing to gain from a conflict in Central Europe, I offer my services in any negociations to prevent such a catastrophe."

    God bless the King!!!

We in the Republic of the Netherlands are bit confused whether the Spanish crown thinks that the people of the lowlands have turned into Spanish over night and are bit concerned that the people of this so called Wallonia might feel bit indifferent about the decision of the Spanish crown like we felt also few years back when the Spanish crown tryed to achieve that in our current Republic.

Since a satisfactory agreement cannot be reached to peacefully trade the former Spanish Netherlands for something of similar value, the territory will be part of the reforms undertaken by the king to centralise the administration of His Realms. The indifference of the inhabiants, if it is expressed against the king, will be prosecuted as treason and punished will all harshness.

If the Stadtholder has anything to contribute to the negotiation, the King will receive his embassadors in private (by PM).

The Tsar gives his blessing to the Royal Families of Spain and France in their time of new peace and prosperity. May your respective and now joined families enjoy endless generations of peace! The Tsar would also like to apologise for his not being able to pruchase gifts for you. He is always on the move as of late, trying to convince the wayward children of Russia to come back to the good and honest rule of the real Tsar. He has said that he will give an official gift as soon as matters at home settle down.

    Your highness
It is a cunning device which heats both sides of a slice of bread - or should I say "pain" - evenly to produce an evenly browned piece of grilled bread known on these shores as "Toast" No doubt, with the benefit of a twisted mind, it could be used as an instrument of torture, but the agents of King James has far more cunning weapons of persuation in their arsenals such as the comfortable chair with soft cushions.

In all honesty, the Tsar would rather not give an instrument of torture because that is an instrument of pain, he will give a peaceful gift. He is giving consideration to an exotic animal.

The Royal Family thanks everyone for their magnificent gifts, and wishes to extend an invitation to the ceremony to the Royal Families of Europe, including my brother the HR Emperor, despite his grudge against me for defending the interests of my realms instead of the borders of his. I also offer myself to mediate between the HR Emperor, and the powers that seem to threaten his sovereign territory if he so wishes.

Holy Roman Emperor, it is merely a wedding to end conflict between these two nations. They will do nothing against you, this is only a wedding between two Royal Families that shall bring unheralded peace between the two nations and nothing more.
King of Spain, the Tsar is most pleased with your attitude towards a peaceful solution to this Central European Paranoia. The Tsar will also send a diplomat and his wife to the ceremony as he has to stay in Russia currently. Keep in mind this is no surrogate, but he would like to reward the officer who releases such statements as this for his loyalty.
There is no need for warning or solemnity, Holy Roman Emperor, rather for joy and pomp.

    Default Re: 17th century

We in Poland are sending the Cardinal of Warsaw, a fine Catholic man and relative of the King, to the wedding ceremonies.
We hope that you will intervene in this conflict, as well as the French, and end this bitter war with a mediated election of the boyars, selecting either Vasili or Wladyslaw.
I ask that the Spanish and French send a hundred men into Moscow to allow the Polish troops withdraw and avoid any confrontation, or have any accusations of cheating run through the halls of Europe.
I hope that the Rus Vasili will agree, so that the people of Muscovy be allowed to chose who will rule their nation.
Afterwards, I ask a five-year armistice be signed, and that whoever may be elected as Tsar be acknowladged by all of Europe, and the other decline the throne, and leave the nation.
Then afterwards the Polish and Rus will decide a borderline.
This is a fair, judicial, constitutional decision that will settle this war.

    Have you just been dumped?

I ask because it's usually something like that which causes outbursts like this, needless to say I dissagree completely.
