That's a dreadfully constructed sentence. Back to journalism school with you!A former judge convicted of exposing himself while presiding over jury trials by using a sexual device under his robe was sentenced Friday to four years in prison.
I suppose it is good in the respect that it conjures up amusing images of someone trying to preside over a jury trials by using a sexual device under his robe. Not the most effective method of presiding, I should think.

I heard this here on the news, but I was surprised about the sentence: four years!? I don't get it. Is it meant to discourage other to do the same, do judges automatically get more time to spent in jail? Or is this a normal sentence?

Officer of the court. Govrnment property. Sex crime. He's lucky he didn't get a worse sentence.
He'll also now be a sex offender, will have to register upon release, and undwer Oklahoma law will be residentially zoned out of every community with a park, school, church, daycare center or other municipality or structure where children may be present. In other words, he'll be living in the mountains somewhere.
