Yep, we had to choose which adds we wanted by vote, and we went for the phone sex ones. It was unanimous, if I recall correctly.

Most likely its a adverstisement banner that is done by the web host - to reduce the cost to the hosts of this fine travern, and more important the .Org portion.

The trick is if you dont go to the bottom of the page you wont see the advertisments at all.

Read the fine print... it was unanimous by the mods that the Org would have a cookie sniffer that looked at all the other cookies of the surfer and then publish the most relevant ad.

Thats why you keep getting ads for Pink Floyd while Spartan is getting

And by the way iirc the Org is hosted for free, so long as it allows the host to place ads. Which makes me wonder about the dial-up skin...
