Thread: Org Gazette?

    Default Org Gazette?

    Whatever happened to it?

It'd be cool to start it back up again

    Been to:

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

    I'm pretty new here.

Can anyone tell me what this Org Gazette is all about?

Basically a newspaper that covered events at the Org and the general TW community.

IIRC it was ianofsmeg that ran it, *calls Ian to this thread* :P

    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown,
    The dream is gone.
    I have become comfortably numb...

Are there certain requirements to become a reporter?

I'll rephrase my question: can I become a reporter?

Or can a member write "freelance"? Or can you write letters to the staff of the Gazette?

Ian, isn't there already an issue that was nearly ready to publish when you had to step aside for your exams? Even if it is only a partial issue, it can hold us over until you can get the staff assembled again. Purty please?

Andres, here are links to the issues already published:

    Issue #1: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=62866

    Issue #2: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=63472

Well Tibilicus, my clan mate, used to be multiplayer reporter, but I wouldn't mind taking over that role, I think he'd be ok with it (currently he's away on holiday, but I think before we discussed sharing the role). I'm very active in the Total War multiplayer community, and I'm an Admin on one of the "big three" tournaments (the Clan War Belt).

So ye, thats my application :D

(The next few weeks on the tourney scene will be quite interesting, we've reached the final of the Total War Premier League's summer tourney and the actual belt fight will commence at the CWB)

    That's my humble application...

    Am I accepted?

Make sure you mention the backroom and frontroom. We got some good stuff going on ya know. Like chicks and beer.

There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

Well, I still want to help, but I won't be able to contribute for the September and October editions.

Sometimes "real life" (i.e. marriage celebrations and honeymoon) interferes with a man's, well, hm, "virtual real life".

But I'm still in for future editons, if you want.

I really don't have the time to write very much anymore, but if you'd like me to help out in anyway with the editing department I would be more than happy to do so.

I would like to join, but only as an advisor to help and expand the Gazette. As for my CV, I was the former editor of the Helios, the newsletter covering Total War Center. You can PM me if you want to see details. However, I am not sure whether I have time or the inclination to be involved fulltime with the Gahzette.
