MTW CTD when I start a campaign

Allright, I just got the game but are unable to play it actually.

Everytime I start a campaign, pick a country and press 'start campaign' I get the load screen.

When the bar is completely red I get a black screen for a second, then the game menu for a second and then it all crashes

........What can I do about this?????

btw: I did patch the game with the 1.1 patch:

(and is there a simpel way to take screenies?)

What version of DirectX do you have?
I think you'll need version 8.1 or newer to play it.

According to the game mine was fine and the battles work.

Check out this thread, which discusses the same problem at somewhat greater length. In the end, rolling back your video driver might take care of the issue.

just like Martok said... i was having the same issue, and this thread talks about that!

setting the anti-aliasing from "off" to "2x" in the video card performance settings should solve the crashing right before the campaign screen loads.

Ok, that is great and all but where can I find a screen in which I can change it?

My 3-d card is a Prosavage DDR 32 MB
