    Default Help!

Hello all. I count on the Geeks of the world to help me in my pathetic time-wasting endevours, such as connquering the world with my Medieval troops against the AI enemy.
Never used one of these forums before, so I'll just post my 2 issues.
    1) In Medieval Total War 1, historical campaigns, I can't conquer the castle in the Loir Valley phase. I blast out walls, try for arrow towers, ballistas, etc., but every time, when my ammo runs dry, my arious attempts to storm the castle invariably end in my men getting picked off, stopped dead, and retreating in shame. Any advice?
    2) I recently got Medieval Total War 2 for my new computer (HP, 200GB, 1GB RAM, etc.) and the game won't play right. The battle screen comes up choppy and super slow, skipping around and making it impossible to play. I tried downloading new drivers but got nowhere with that. Do I really have to physically install a new graphic card? What gives?
Anyway, I hope this is how I'm supposed to post these things. Thanks to anyone out there reading.

Well I can help you with the first problem, but not the second.

Once you get your troops inside the walls the towers should stop firing at you iirc.

I can try and help with 2, but not with 1, (never got the hang of seige assaults on mtw)

If the game is slow and choppy you have probably got the graphics set too high. Go into the options section and go to graphics and set all indicators to the low section, also change unit size too small. This should make the battles run ok. If they run fine with all setings on low you should be able to start altering them upwards until you get to a balance between graphics/unit size and game speed. If the battles are still choppy maybe you do need a new graphics card, but I think if you have a new pc you should be fine.

If you're finding that it's still not working, post up your specs and we can reccomend which settings to play on.
