Two questions on BI install....

One, just for clarification, BI doesn't lock out playing the RTW as it was originally put out? Kinda like Starcraft and Broodwar, you can play Broodwar, or you can choose to play the original. You can choose BI, or you can chose the original campaign where you can play as the romans or anyone else?

can i install it mid campaign and keep playing, or should it be used with a clean game, no old saves, or old saves will work?

You can install BI and it doesn't affect your R:TW campaigns at all. You can choose to play either R:TW or BI after that, and you use the corresponding CD.

Yes, of course, BI installs into a subfolder in your RTW install diectory and (optionally) creates a desktop shortcut to the BI exe. If you start with your regular RTW exe it´ll completely ignore the new content that came with the install of BI, although your game will be patched to 1.3 if you had 1.2 installed before the BI installation. In that latter case your savegames will be affected, but (probably) not if you already had patched to 1.5, though I suggest in that case you install patch 1.6 (which includes 1.5), to be save.
