RTG, the unofficial bug patch or something else entirely?

Right now I'm playing unmodded v1.5 RTW...and I was thinking about trying a mod after I finish my current Brutii campaign. I was going to RTG v1.0, but I was curious how many of the fixes it addresses are also included in the un-official bug fixing patch? If I have to chose one or the other, which do you think I should go for. I know this sub-forum might lean a little towards RTG since it's a mod and I'm asking in a mod discussion forum....but I'm just looking for improved gameplay/AI without a ton of hassle. Recommend what you think I would enjoy the most, without changing the core of the game TOO much. I looked at EB, but that really changes the entire scope of the game, I'm looking for an experience similar to RTW vanilla because I do enjoy it as it is, but RTG sounded really fun as did just fixing some of the bugs with the unofficial patch...

Biggest things I'm looking for is improved AI, bug fixes...

some bug fixes, improved ai (sinhuet's formations) better and longer battles, lots of new regions, total reskins of units, united romans and it goes on...


get it. trust me you will like it. and still if you liked RTW.
