What year does EB end?

I know in RTW it ends somewhere around 100ad? I think thats right, I suck at history...

anyways, what I didn't like is I couldn't keep playing after that :( So I edited a file to keep playing until 1000 ad. Although I can't find this file again. I forgot the file, thought it was desc_strat or something. I like to conquer the whole world and since I play really slowly I always ended up having my time limit ending.

Was wondering if this option was in one of the files or if not if I can keep playing past whatever "time limit" there is.

EB ends in 14AD as did RTW. Given that we've pretty much doubled the number of turns in a full game due to the fact that we have 4 turns a year instead of two, I don't think you need worry about time running out.

EB is built for the slow player so you should fit right in.

the campaign end in 14 Anno Domini, but if you've got skills and know where to tweak you can make it end later....

It's sort of complicated too though. If we have reforms for a faction, some things can come from within that period, but most stuff is there to show what it was like in 272, and maybe shortly after. It's hard to not have things evolve really, but that's the system we are working within. Some things from 100BC just won't work, but some will. It's complicated - like everything else in this great big world we're in.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think the only thing you have to do to change the end date is to change it in the descr_strat file. Maybe EB has some kind of script or something that doesn't allow this but I don't see why you couldn't just play till 8000 AD if you wanted to.
