Me, I must confess to being more and more intrueged by the game. Assuming it doesn't slip, I'll probly get it for Christmas - there should be some small mods for it out by then, maybe even a patch.

I'll be preordering it some time next month, I would do it now, but I want to check if any site might be selling it cheaper.
I will never pre-order again. Make sure that the pre-order price does not exceed the actual release price.
This time I admit I will be waiting quite some time to find out if the game is worth buying

After Rome, I'll wait and see what the community says.
I already pre ordered it.
I love TW games, this makes no exception from the rule.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.
A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
I want to hear what's said about it by players I respect and if it needs serious patching I'll wait some more.

Just one old soldiers opinion.
We need MP games without the oversimplifications required for 'good' AI.
I doubt I will buy it.
CBR
I voted other as in anytime between the release date and 2-3 months afterwards depending on my financial situation, which may include waiting until I also have the ability for a Video and/or CPU upgrade. That upgrade all depends on how well my current system runs Medieval 2.
I will get it as soon as it hits the stores. There will be a lot of mods out for it anyway that will make the game how it "should" be if it's got a lot of problems.

IF I like the demo then
WHEN it's been out for a while and the major bugs have been killed, probably christmas-early February.
If I'm not impressed with (or at least satisfied by) the demo, I *might* get it in a few years when there's a gold edition out...

After the price hopefully drops after Christmas.
Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

Need to try the demo first.
Not sure how well it will run on my computer so I'm waiting.
If it does run well then it is release day for me![]()
I have never had a pre-order go well, retailers always make a disaster of it. So, first day of release for me.

I'll wait to see what everyone thinks here. Then, depending on how things pan out either buy it after a month or wait for a patch.
I really hate it when a game has a really obvious problem that affects game play significantly.

I'm getting the game ASAP (read: when it hits the stores).

For the last two TW games, my dad and I have always received it as a joint Christmas present, so i doubt that tradition will change :)

I will wait until is drops to 39.99. It may be 2007 by then, but I'm not too hyped for this game.
I have a system worked out with my nephew in California. He gets me certain games, and I either pay him back over time or whisper good things into his parents' ears. Good system.

when i got Rome i played it for like 5-7 hours a day (11-13 if no school) in about 2 months. fortunatly i still studied at a retarded elementary school which diden't give any homework whatsoever and you could easily manage to get the highest grades but now i'm at upper secondary school and a tough one so if i get Medieval 2 when it's realeased i will both screw my gaming and my studies up so i will wait until the summer holydays, also it will be patched by that time.
EDIT: although if my local shops will arrange somekind of realease event in the night i might showup and get it and then just wait. when WoW and BF2 were realeased they had masquerades so maybe they will make one for Medieval 2.

After the inevitable patches come out and the community has had enough time to assess the remaining flaws, I may buy it if there are no major problems left.
Mind you, I may wait for it to drop in price, too - I'm still having more than enough fun with MTW (1)![]()

Rome TW is already quite pretty, pretty enough for me. So unless the gameplay and in particular, lastability is increased through good battlemap AI, campaign map AI, and hopefully, multiplayer balance, then I'll buy it. Else not.
The community will be the major judge of that. And the demo will be an indication of whether gameplay has been improved, ignoring scripting.
