Hey mate, great pics. Did you take any pics of the custom battles screenies? The ones of the aztecs look great, really diverse units there and extremely accurate by the look of them. Did you take any pics of Galloglaich or Kerns? Or the Highlander units?

guys - I will reply later to questions - for now I stick to the pictures. I'm sure that this will help the devs to show / explain more of the game.

I have downloaded the rest of the pictures from the demo:

    pff.swrebellion.com/index...pic=4646.0

And now I am prepareing a full coverage of the Aztecs (all units, etc)

    Cheers,

Totally amazing, those aztec units are flawless.

Just a question, did you see much of the english or byzantine unit roster? If you are putting up more pics after the weekend, would you mind if you put up more of the custom battle screens?

Thank you very much for pics Burebista, they really are fantastic

    Some good stuff Callatian.

Also, one picture featured Dismounted Christian Guard troops, so I think the ability to dismount units is back again - probably in the same way as it was in the regular Medieval.

I like the range of unit choices shown in the multiplayer screens. I wonder if that is because they show all eras? It looks like more variety than for many factions in RTW (e.g. Greeks n Gauls). BTW, this is from a single player perspective - I suspect Puzz3D is going to say MPers need fewer units for balance.

It could also be because the papal states can have knights from all the orders maybe? I saw a few knight units in there...

Why does the battle results screen say that Aztec units fought in Tripoli in 537 AD? M2TW doesn't stretch back that far, does it? Very curious.

Thanks for taking the time to put these up!

    I was wondering that myself.

I thought the most interesting on the site (on the Venice thread) was the guild buildings that could be seen on the tech tree.

    https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y2...citystatus.jpg

the assassin, mason, theologian, merchant, and swordsmith guilds make sense to me, in terms of what they'll affect, and how they can be obtained, but some I'm not sure about.

explorer's guild - I assume this helps you get to the new world faster, or some such, but how can you earn it: do you uncover alot of the map, or build ships or what?

The Alchemist's Guild - I don't know with what this guild is concerned.

The Thieve's Guild - Reminds me of Discworld Novels, if anyone reads those.
    Is it connected with spies?

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Alchemy is early scientists during the medieval period that mixed discovery with theological aspects and they say magic but the latter has to be taken with a pinch of salt as the church was usually the one's who were condeming them

Yeah, I know that, but what has alchemy got o do wth the game? Is it connected to the tech tree advancements? Ijust don't get what the alchemy guild will be for in the game.

Elephant artillerly are fine, we already know, from playing rome, that they will be expensive and easy to kill. In other words, an obsolete unit that will still be available to have fun with (elephants are fun). No problems there, and its not like its crewed by valkyries or Roman battlefield ninjas.

Maybe an early way to make gunpowder weaponry?

Or perhaps simply a boost to the speed at which you advance along the gunpowder tech tree.

I apologise but that was a diplomatic gesture. I'm in the middle of some discussions with SEGA. I'll keep ya posted.

Hmmmm, let me guess... Sega doesn't want you to post them?Or do they want you to put SEGA on every screenshot?:D

We concluded that its to late to stop them but we are discussing at the moment the rest of the issue. You guys got lucky with the last 4 left behind. Like the english monstery inside germany ;)

This will give me time to write more.

Well I decided to stop for the sake of SEGA and CA. But I also was informed that I may get some exclusive screenshots just for beeing nice to them. Also all the pictures I posted until now I will keep on PFF. We agreed that there is no point in removeing them at this moment in time - that section can satisfy anyones desire to discover more about the game. I consider that they show at least 20% more and it will not be fair to make that 80%...even if I can exploit their error I will not do it. I hope you will understand.

Of course... If they ask nicely I seen no point in not working with them.

Did anyone notice that the Chivalric Knights have a bonus in snow??? Pretty strange to me.

The Aztecs are lovely. They are a bit spiffed up, but I don't mind as long as it stays within reason, and it is.

    Great to see prisoners back....
But unfortunately the losses suffered to get them is pretty low. I hope that is because the English army was better, not because the AI wasn't as good as the podcast seem to indicate.

I'm surprised that Århus is the town in Denmark. It was hardly a town at the time. Obviously Roskilde should be the Danish town as that was the residence of the kings after Cnut the Great and more or less the only real town in the country. In any case in Jutland Ribe would have been a much more important town than Århus. And given how many provinces France has Denmark should perhaps have gotten two, Jutland and the Islands, but that isn't terribly important.

Noticed that not all the unitcards are finished. An RTW Grey Peasant is visible at one point.

My question is, When were these pictures taken? Months ago? Weeks ago?

Just for the sake of accuracy....I don't base anything on these images, especially since they aren't official....

Yes - maybe they are from a different game or an ancient MTW advanced version :) They were taken more than a week ago from the german game convention were they had a full game open to the public play.

EDIT: The battle results come mostly from autocalculate. And yes - not all the cards are finished (especially ships) and the merchants don't do anything yet.

Yes, I found that to be quite peculiar myself. I'd say they'd have a penalty fighting on snowy terrain. Hey who knows, it might be a mistake.
