Default Ser Cleghost: the untrue starter of threads

This has probably been covered many times before but I have noticed quite a few threads which say they have been started by Ser Clegane when browsing through the forum but when I go in they are started by someone else. Examples of this are the Official Happy Birthday Thread, which says it is started by Ser but is actually started by Beirut, and Note on whinging in the M2TW forum which was actually started by Tamur. What's going on?

It seems to occur when an Admin edits a post in the thread, even their own. I don't think anyone has mentioned why it happens. I don't think it's a vBulletin bug.

It's great publicity first of all, a well know member, an admin, making the thread.

Also, if you're like me, and not too interested in the content of many threads, you still check them out to see if it is a Ser Clegane thread actually started by Ser Clegane.
