    They are now at:

    http://www.totalrealism.net/

    The old site was hacked.

The forums are not yet up, but they have a good sub-forum at twcenter.

The Platinum version of RTR is definitely worth checking out. (See the Will of the Senate PBM over in the Throne Room.)

Long story short: we've been *trying* to change webhosts for a while now. However, we only had two guys working on it; one being our usual webmonkey, the other using his fast connection to download the old site's contents and upload to the new host.

The site's contents have been uploaded for the better part of a month, however personal problems have prevented our web guy from helping much. So it's pretty much all in the host's hands, they're taking care of the rest of it and have been working on it for a while now.

That's my understanding of the situation, anyway. One of the other guys more involved with the switch will know more than I do, though.

It's great how well the transition to TWCenter has been taken.

I mean, separate forum for Platinum, mods coming back to chat and devs passing by and all. I just miss the AARs a bit.

Thanks for taking time to summarize it Cheexsta. Good luck to you guys getting your site working again. That you guys get things done on IRC primarily and we use a hidden forum primarily has always been a weird way that RTR and EB have differed (from my pov), but it's very helpful for you in this situation.

No worries TA, and thanks. In regards to forums and IRC, we try to use them both in equal measures. Since many of our devs do live in different timezones the dev forum came in handy, but IRC is very useful in getting clearer instructions and easier co-ordination. And even though IRC is one of our chief forms of communication, the lack of forums has certainly hurt production.

So, lesson learned: set up the new host *before* taking down the previous site

Ah, I was wondering what was going on. Good luck getting it all moved.

So is everybody at twcenter now? I was wondering where everyone went.

(No offense to the EB team. You seem quite cool, too. I've been lurking around here for months now, and I swear I'm going download EB when it hits 0.8.)

The ExRM forum: come for the mod, stay for the Classical History discussions. Or vice versa.

Yeah hope the forums come back soon, I'm starting to miss them, though I am liking it here.
Rest in Peace TosaInu, the Org will be your legacy
