    Default About how large are these shields supposed to be

    I'm going to a medieval fair and/probably a halloween party.

    Are these Greek shields the right size or am I going to end up reacting another"tiny gladius" incident.

    The typical Greek Aspis was around 30 inches in diameter.

    Is the top shield even one the Greeks used, looks like something out of TROY.

    Thats the classic Corinthian Hoplite. Later shields were a bit samller, that Bull one is quite nice.

    The top one looks more like the very old figure-8 body shields from ancient Greek potery - which supposedly was what was used at the time of the Trojan war. However, they had a different shape and were made of a wooden framework with hide facing.

    The one on the top is aparemtly a Theban Shield, I gues the makers of troy made it in their movie(never wanted to see it)
