The RomeTW sign comes up but nothing happens

The "Rome:Total War" thing that comes up when starting up the game. Well thats all it does. I have modded it and It just comes up and nothing happens. I'm still looking at it right now. Cd is in and everything and I ain't modded it since my last succesful play. I'll restart my pc.

Weird. just as I finished posting the screen with the copyright stuff with the spearman in the background came up and it is now at the menu. Really strange. Why did it do this?

Edit: It's still takings ages to load up!

Discovered problem ages ago. It was a mixture of spyware and a dirty disc. I Cleaned my pc and disk and everything's fine now.
