Thank you guys my morale is going recovering lol, I guess I forget that I post here for only since a month and throw preview very fast compared to other projects (who're doing more difficult things than me).
Naaaaay horrible man !and if you even contemplate giving up on it I will kill small puppies in protest.don't kill puppies ! I never intended to give up anyway I've spend too much time doing these things and everyday I'm nearer to complete, these would be a waste.

...just being creative here: why not add a rebel faction where hordes of zombies attack armies that have not been moving for more than 3 turns. look, make the moving point of their units low, so they lurk out of the woods, stinking rot, with many wounds on their body, from which none flowed no blood. No moral, infinit stamina, easly set afire by fire arrows and only killed with decapitation(just give em a bunch of hit point). You know, it would be so original, besides there are many statements made by greeks, romans, egyptcians and persians that zombies they once fought.

IMPORTANT THING
Now I realise that I want more and something deeper, as I've heard rumors that the MTW2 engine will have 30 faction slots, 3 reforms and other very good things such as the discover of an other continent few ideas are walking in my mind but I'll finish the first version on RTW like I've planed be sure of it. The question is : sould I take my time to have a very polished thing for RTW (with new gui, own music ect...) or sould I release something less polished (but still finished, playable and tested) and continue the big project that will take a lot of time for MTW 2 ? Shame I don't have a forum yet that would be practical to create a pool...

Dude, its not worth just handing out a half baked pie you took hours to gather the ingedients and backbreaking hours to stir. Polish it as much as you can.

At the begining I planed to do some but RTW engine and what I had in my mind killed this and I don't want to have demons or orcs in it... But be sure, a faction, especialy, got some special things (I let you guess with the icons). But like I said in the first post "magic and all those things" is very questionable and quite rare.Will there be unicorns or any abnormal being?

I'll finish and polish it as long as I can resist MTW 2 attraction this means the first release will look very polished compared to other mods in the graphical aspect, (the choice to have 9 factions and no need for historical research/accruary is important). About the gameplay I'll do my best but it's only possible to polish it tgrougt playing.

A brief on what I'm working now : as units are all finished I'm doing extensive play test for battles working hard to enchence the battle aspect to make the AI acting a bit smarter with darth improvents and formation, it is one of the other aims of this mod : making something challenging for RTW. As I'm a Darthmod player my standards are high.
Basicly it is a good compromise between realism and use of very powerfull/magical small units to change de tide of battle for exemple I've divied the soldiers into three classes : militia = week but numberous, soldiers = trained, efficient but in less number and elite/heroes = small units of powerfull well equiped soldiers that can change the tide of battle (the mountain men axmen or Maer Dhunan wisness aka. druids are a good exemple of this) for most factions the fight is resolved on a hard melee where planing what unit engage wich one is important. Actualy It is doing quite well I got badly owned sometimes when playing on medium so I guess it'll be nice on H or VH

The first emperor died several centuries ago but a powerful cult continues the myth. The emperor wears the same iron mask and the people hail his greatness worshipping him like a god. But nothing is certain because agressive barbarians and strangers from the sea are threatening the empire from everywhere. The last challenge for the empire will come in this age... an age of death and glory.
The empire is powerful but its central position, the dispersal of its armies and the questionable loyalty of newly conquered lands are the greatest weaknesses of the Ahuran nation making it hard to hold every frontier against a large diversity of enemies who have the advantage of concentrating all their forces on one opponent: you. Losing territories seems inevitable but nothing is already lost, the empire just needs a strong leader to gather its forces to dominate all the rest of the known world.
The imperial army possesses powerful cavalry, elite units and a vast choice of people to recruit as soldiers or mercenaries, but everything has its cost which makes economy quite important. The weakness comes for the light troops which are inferior despite of their being levies, with diverse traits from different nations. They’ll require a good commander and morale boost in order to hold the line for enough time to let the elite troops enter the battlefield to stimulate real action. A good imperial commander will have to choose his troops carefully and adopt certain unique tactics which prove to be beneficial for the troops and lead them to victory.
Militia
The empire is the only faction which possesses a ZOR (zone of recruitment) system to stimulate its diversity.
Western plains spear auxillia :
These men are barbarians from the occidental frontiers. Despite the fact, they’re more civilised than the others and keep their aggressive attitude in hand but with lack of discipline unfortunately. They fight with spear in hand like all the barbarians.
Southern Skirmisher auxillia :
The southern area of the empire is the poorest, but its inhabitants are hardy people who prefer more to harass the enemy than destroying it in melees.
Central spearmen :
As you can guess, the center of the empire is very rich, citizens don’t have any problems to buy good armour to form a solid infantry line, but they still don’t have the experience of a real soldier.
Heavy infantry :
Heavy sabremen
These professional soldiers are well trained, hardy and have the first choice equipment. They act as heavy infantry on the battlefield. The only drawback is that they cannot take the place and role of levies on the battlefield.
Cavalery
Young nobles
These men are the sons of imperial nobles. Being well equipped and protected, they fight like horse archers to avoid any sort of sudden or impetuous contact with the enemy. They’re often called “hidden” or “fathers’ sons” but they have a crucial role in the imperial strategy when it comes to counter-attack less protected enemy horse archers.
Khastaphractos:
Khastaphractos are rarely deployed, but they always impress the enemy because they often win the day for the empire in decisive battles and play an important role. They wear very heavy armour which makes them an impressive mass which has the ability to smash the enemy lines spreading death, destruction, terror and ultimately panic among the foes. But they’re still cavalry and suffer from the same weaknesses as that of a normal cavalry unit even if they’re harder to kill.
Elite/Special :
Priest :
The warrior priests of the imperial cult are always there to remind the imperial citizens of their duties and that the empire cannot lose. They boost morale of the soldiers with their chants. Imperial church is rich and they’ve access to very good equipment. Some say that they’re able to show impressive martial prowess when required.
Brotherhood of the black hand :
These men are members of a mysterious brotherhood of killers, who’re supposed to be at the service of the empire as a secret police. It’s rare to see them on the battle field cutting enemies into pieces with their scimitars. Their presence isn’t reassuring especially for the enemy which often thinks that the imperial god has sent them as his death messengers.
Shields of Arkara :
The group of monk warriors coming from the highly fortified city of Arkara is the best unit to hold any position using bows and spears. Many legends talk about how they saved days in the past through their heroic resistance and fierce discipline.
Immortals :
As the imperial dogma says, the emperor, his generals and all their heroes are immortal but they can still (hardly) die in combat to be resurrected later. It’s a powerful cavalry unit equipped with maces, javelins and the best quality armour.

Hey mate great work you are doing here keep it up. I just thought id post a suggestion for a design theme for one of your factions why not make it that they have access to no hard metals at all akin to the aztecs and have there armour made of wood and obsidian (sp?) and have them worship trees as their deities ? Just a suggestion any ways chief ...

The mod is definatly ported to BI, wich means :
There's still only 10 playable factions but that we'll try to add loyalty for all of them, as rebel shadowed factions have lot of money a betrail must be stoped quickly before they raise big armies and hurt you very hard. With this case people will be able to fight against thier own faction in custom battles too.
The other addition is horde feature that two factions will use at start and passivly usable to a lot of them maybe all.
The religion will be used too as an important factor of loyalty. Also for shield wall, swiming, night battles etc.. etc.. no BI feature will remain unused.

Ive been coming to this topic every dya and ive noticed there has been a distinct lack of updates is this due to a development problem or are you just building up some tenision for your next spectacular preview?
Could just be that he's not working on units at the moment? Or that he's taking a break? As far as I know he's doing this on his own, which is a pretty daunting task. Given how much progress he's made in a relatively short amount of time I wouldn't be surprised if he's just leaving it be for a while.

Justicar is right I (At last I recovered my real org account ! just check TWC CoA forums if you don't trust it) was taking a small break, MTW 2 killed my motivation a few time, I hopped it to be better than it actualy is, ashamed I took a long break but now I'm going to have some help and I restart to mod. But I need a few peoples now :
The only requirements are : You like/love to mod and (Beta testers excepted), just provide a proof that know something about modding.
- A unit stat balancer : To use and apply an already existing system and to improve/correct it if possible.
- A trait/ancillary maker : To create a RPG like trait system for characters in campaign.
- Someone who is able to model new/better vegetation.
- Someone able to modify AI formations
- Some constructive beta testers.
Part time help for modders is accepted as long you can help.

Guys, I hope you don't mind if I repeat a question which I have asked about somebody else's mod - you have a hosted mod forum at TWC, yet, sadly, your seemingly amazing mod doesn't seem to have one here. I'm sure if you were to ask for one (and get one) then your mod's popularity will increase here at the Org - more people pass by the Hosted Mod section than they do the forge. Thanks.
