Actually it's quite simple. When you open the box, always open it from the bottom, using preferably a straight edge razor or knife. Now carefully cut along the inner groove so that when you cut across the heat tape you make as straight of a line as possible.
Open Box, remove game, play as you will. Put Game Back in the box and seal the heat tape on the bottom using a small line of any clear drying glue. Now, the used box should look like it's never been used.
Most retailers will give a refund on any software the hasn't been opened, if they become suspicious, and open the box to find the wrapper is missing around the CD/DVD case, play innocent and say, well it must've been packaged that way because you NEVER opened it. Because in retail, specifically, costumer service, the Costumer is always right and cannot be openly accused of foul play.
Now you've played your game, beat it or got tired of it, and you want a different game. Just use this strategy, and wa-laa you've got 50 extra dollars to buy a new game. Congratulations Mates. Drinks all around. Rinse and repeat as necessary.
