I've had six shots of espresso, two mountain dews and three colas. It's 4:00 a.m here and I'm WIDE awake, shaking like a jackhammer. I can't even click desktop items on my screen correctly. Studying has gone totally out the window. I'm not blinking at all even though my left eyelid won't stop twitching, my stomach feels horrible, my muscles are cramping up, my pulse is twittering like the wings of a hummingbird and I'm just simply juiced. You see, my drug of choice isn't alcohol. No. I don't drink any alcohol at all. My drug of choice is caffeine.

Let's see how long I can stay up today.

funny you should mention this today because last night (well this morning) I was up until 5:30am on the .org with Bessie Smith & Cab Calloway blaring out of the speakers when the dog started barking so I had to sprint to bed before my dad got up and caught me. I got to sleep around 7am and woke up at 11 but stayed in bed till 12:30.

I had 3 kingsize chocolate bars and a jumbo pack of marshmallows and I was meant to be studying too, I have prelim exams tomorrow . But I am not worried.

Ok, after playing Counterstrike for many, many hours, I finally went to bed at 7:00 a.m. It's 10:40 a.m here, and I just got up after having slept very uncomfortably. I'm still kind of buzzed really. I'll probably crash out sometime later.

not a nice stroy - we were celebrating the local coffeee shop opening for 24hours but, caffiene withdrawl isnt pleasant (headaches, complete downer)

Well Demon if you really want to get cranked on Caffine, just get some instance coffee, some dry hot cocca mix - mix those two together with just a little water, to make a thick paste, and then place in your lip like snuff.

Keep it up, you'll build up resistance to the demon drug. Time was if I had a cup of coffee after about 9pm I'd be awake til 3am, no sweat. Now I can take one to bed with me and still fall asleep without having time to turn out the lights. TOUGHEN UP, LAD!

I typically drink a large travel style cup of coffee and Redbull every morning (I don’t mix them), then I switch to Propel (I hate the taste of regular water) until lunch. I purposefully don’t drink any extra sugar or caffeine in the evening; I am a night owl without it.

All you have to do is directly mix your coffee grounds in with your water in a pot of course, boil until the coffee gets into a sludge like state. Drink. Aweful tasting stuff, but I think I got a permanent tremor disorder from it.

I used to be a coke addict (no, the soda) and do the caffeine thing (oh the joys of ephedrine ), one time I got 10 hours of sleep for a week). But then my heart started doing the funky chicken whenever I did something strenuous (like walk up a set of stairs ) and I eased off.

I used to drink a LOT of caffeine. No more; 3-4 sodas a day is WAY too many, even if it's just 12-oz cans.

Now, whenever I try to drink a 24 oz Mountian Dew, I feel like I took speed. It's kinda fun.

Speed is much more clean in its effects than is caffeine. Then again, it is very unhealthy to use it in any way that the people here tend to use caffeine. If I'm going to use stimulants, for my adhd, although adderall does have other effects that are desired occasionally, it is in a consistent manner. Using irregular doses of stimulants often is a very good way to mess up mood, and sleeping, which in turn can affect many other things negatively. Drugs should not be mindlessly used in general, which I do mean to cover things that people don't typically associate as being serious drugs.
