Is this like that male lesbian thing? It's a "condition" written by some obscure Florida professor (with no doubt a few conditions of her own) that some people can be a woman trapped inside of a man’s body. I believe it was used to exclude some guys from sexual harassment suits; because suing them for it would be anti-homosexual (homophobic :gasp: or something, which is bad (especially if they’re lesbians) .

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

...I like women if thats what youre asking.
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

And I like beauty goddesses. Is that clear?
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

    Been to:

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

I'd like to have someone like Saturnus to help me in this one but, anyway, this is a syndrome called syndrome of Henry Benjamin (as noted above), I don't know anything about that Florida professor. And this is exactly what I wanted to know, people who say this is not a desease. If you're also a christian then you could tell me what are the answers to her questions.

That was from some wacko lib in the early 90's. I really don't care about the religious and moral applications. My faith isn’t that shaky or need for order so strong that this affects me in any way.

The righteous will live by faith is one of my favorite lines in the bible. If there is a god I don’t think she/he cares if you have penis or a hormone or a nose or whatever as long as you live a good life and believe (at least a little) you will probably make it thru the gates. It sounds more like this person or others with similar issues need to come to terms with who they are in the here and now before the start worrying about the afterlife or a higher power. Staying away from any extra female hormones might help too.

Exactly. But through the shakings of her faith this person and others express the estigma they suffer in life, trying to give those issues a transition to the social life they're in and trying to guess what will be their future.

    EDIT:
But there's other question here: Is this ambiguity really a curse or is it a blessing? It was a blessing for Tiresias, but it seems to be curse today. It has to be with the social context in wich we live in or with a more internal absolute part of ourselves in wich we find the questions non-dependant of the social context? This person seems to be really affected by religion...
