Yes! My favorite unit from the original mtw. I love the fact that they have a lance now, assuming they'll be a little bit faster this time around. They are the only reason i ever played as the Italians or HRE.

I miss my 16 Calvary Lancers units, running all in line in the field..
Killing all at his pass.. lol
Cant wait to see a Demo of MTW2
The Darkness Shadows Of My Victory, Will take your Heart, buahahahahaha
I wonder how they'd do vs. Spanish lancers. They'd probably win in melee but how many would die in the initial charge?
Two badass cav units I hope I never have to fight.
Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
It's HRE only, but presumably the Italians will get their own equivalent. I hope France and England don't lose out again, as in MTW. Full plate was not exclusive to Germany and Italy (even less to Spain).
If you look at the screenshots it appears that most if not all Catholic factions have heavy cavalry encased in plate armour, though this being said I have not seen any English knights of this sort and they are described in sceenshots of the faction selection thing as having weak cavalry.
Looks good. Wouldn't want to have to face a charge of several units of them, though (not without SAP, at least!).
Argh once again England and France seemed to be given the short straw. As Econ posted plate wasn't exclusive to the HRE and so us playing with England will be left with greatly atiquated knights even in the 16th century. Perhaps France and England will get an equivalent but later in the game?
One hope that is the case.
