    Default Patching Shogun Gold edition

I recently picked up the Shogun Gold edition from a store, it's DVD and it's published by Sega (opposed to the WE, which comes on cds I believe). Problem is, it appears to be version 1.00. I've tried updating with the .org patches (euro patch to 1.02 and dutch patch to 1.12) but now it keeps asking for the cd event hough I have the dvd in.

Anyone have any idea where I can get working patches ? Or how to fix this ?

STW Gold is STW/MI v1.02. I checked the unit stats. You don't have to patch it.

_________Designed to match Original STW gameplay.

    Beta 8 + Beta 8.1 patch + New Maps + Sound add-on + Castles 2

1.12 is the STW patch, 1.02 is the MI patch. If you have MI, which you do, 1.02 supercedes vanilla STW patches. As Puzz3D said, your Gold Edition should be patched already anyway. The patch replaces the executable with one that looks for the MI or WE CD. You can't use it.

    Thanks guys !

Shogun seems to have some graphical issues with the menus, but the actual in game graphics (battles anyway) seem to be fine. I just beat the last tutorial mission (on highest speed by mass attacking, heh, I remembered this from the demo as being hard...).

Unfortunately, it will have to wait since my PC froze up yesterday and refused to reboot decently. Also, something smells burnt

Well I dont know about your PC Reboot problems, but if something smells burnt - check the oven.
