Default Iroquis and other Native American tribes - research

Because of America we need more information about their warfare, political and social structures.

The MTW2 edition mod will be started in 1570 i.e. the year when Iroquis 5 nation confederation was founded so it is obvious that we need some ideas regarding their warfare, architecture and similar.

I have already made some research, but it requires more, much more.

It concerns all eastern coast Native tribes.

    Regards Cegorach

I have made extensive research and believe I have most of the data required to add the Iroquis to the game.

Of course it was tribal army so no real professional force was created, but warriors banded together , some were armed better, some less etc.

The Iroquois roster from the patched MP for PMTW 1.5 is good enough, but some additional images for the MTW2 are still necessary.

Here are those I founsd most useful:

Note the small number of any metal weaponry or anything from metal in general.
Native Americans used little armour, but the Huron warrior wears the wooden armour used in pre-musket period by better warriors.

Natives were mostly armed with clubs, bows etc, but also spears and shields. More research has to be done to define the shape of the shield of course.

Later warriors - musket was adopted to such extent that bowmen became rare in some communities.

See that still the famous tomahawk wasn't very popular. Various clubs were easier to get and some of those were real works of art.

So basically we need more data about Native shields - of course the Woodland Indians used most likely different than the one from Central N.America - most likely from wood with leather surface.

Damn, that is one hot sexy neked Indian *****. But anyway, what actually is going to be covered by the map of North America in M2TW? All of North America or just the east coast? The Iroquois most likely used circular shields, if they carried shields at all. I know the Huron did (carried shields) but I have this immense feeling the Iroqouis being such great warriors and also death crazed, they probably went into battle with just their bows and arrows, a few poison darts, and their bare neked women.
