I thought you were going to rip on the Druntkards thread. I readed myself for a lynching through the town.

Wow I look like an idiot in that thread. I really have seen what alcohol does. I think I might have to stay dry.

No, you just need to learn self-control. Don't drink a quart of vodka in one night.

And don't drink a pint of bourbon. I have a bad habit of doing that whenever the opportunity arises, and I end up feeling physically dead and rotting the next morning.

I've done some pretty stupid things, but I don't believe in regrets.

Post Re: The Regrettable Drunk Thread

When I was a student I normally did something regrettable if I got drunk. I'm unwilling to descend into detail concerning entire categories of regrettable drunken behavior:

    (1) Attempted seductions (embarrassing)
    (2) Successful seductions (sometimes more embarrassing)
    (3) Waking up in an unfamiliar place with no recollection of how I got there. I'm not unwilling to go into detail on this one, I'm unable.
    (4) Driving (distilled idiocy)

I once fell a loooong way from a steep river bank and landed on a very large, flat stone. Didn't feel a thing.

During my first year in college, I got into a fistfight with my roommate. We laughed about it the next day. Morons.

I once climbed a billboard while blitzed. Later that evening I scaled a water tower.

Drunkeness is too trippy for me to enjoy. It's just a state of confusion, idiocy, and lack of control. The line between being drunk and being buzzed is one that I'll walk happily along.

My first experiences with drinking heavily were enough.

    "Oh crap, what's going on?"

    "I definitley don't know what's going on."

to the nth degree. Multiplied by a sideways 8. yuk yuk. In other words- yep.

Once I punched a hooker who was trying to make a deal with my best friend in Vegas. She screamed for her pimp, who came rolling up in his wheelchair as we strode away.

Then their was the time that a tore my MCL which almost ended my firefighting career before it began. I'm sure you folks remember that one.

I've never done anything that I truly regret (while drunk) but, the closest would have to be the time I spent $150 in one night bar hopping through Vancouver. I don't regret doing it, but I definately noticed that my wallet was a lot lighter in the morning.

    yes.

I was in San Jose Costa Rica when I was 14, Got pretty well smashed on Tequila. I was confronted by a "Walker of the night" who would do anything for me for twenty bucks. Now being older, I realise how fool hardy I was as a young teen, but at the time, I was drunk and well... having never done it, curious. So it happened (won't go into any of the details). Woke up the next morning, in a shanty outside of the city, to be awoken by the Ugliest Latino Chick I have ever seen. I mean, this chick made the crack-whores with all their missing teeth and frequent bruise marks in LA look good.

But as a Teenager I was ever the deviant, so I really had to up the ante to make myself feel better.

So I started out with a 1 (or perhaps 0.1) and worked my way up to a 10 (finally).

I also rarely drink anymore, maybe once a month or less and within the confines of my own house.

Look what you've done, Ice. Now I've made myself feel worthless and dirty and undeserving of who I have now.

Very true. I don't exactly have much experience with the stuff, but you can definately drink without getting drunk fairly easily.
