Reading source code can be compared to reading complex literature in a foreign language. Even if one were proficient in the language and internal documentation released, it would take time to slog through to code and understand it thoroughly.

According to their website, CA has approximately 70 staff. Unfortunately, that doesn't tell us how many actually worked on game development. Point is, developing the game is a major team effort.

On the otherhand, knowing for sure what hardcoded limits are might help things a bit by taking out the guess-work and time need to find what they are.

Most of the source codes are written in C++ and DirectX. And if you know these very very well, you can have a chance at cracking the code fast.

    But, it's prohibited by law.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

    Been to:

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
