    Default heavy armored units' legs

    Hello!

For some reason I can't post in the RTW forum, just in M2TW and here, I think. So, I'm sorry if this question doesn't belong here, but I need to ask other RTW players a pretty silly question.

I have the Golden Edition of RTW and this doesn't happen when I play BI, but in the original Rome only. The problem is that my legionaries don't have feet. Any heavy armored unit with big shields, not just heavy infantry, but all infantry units with metal armor and large rectangular shields don't seem to have normal legs, they walk on long sharp cones instead of proper legs. The only normal unit with big rectangular shields are town watch... Perhaps that's because they don't have heavy armor. All skirmishers, bowmen, etc are OK.

Another strange thing is that when I set the time of battle to night, then all my units are ok.

My comp is OK, all runs very smoothely and display options are close to maximum. If I set everithing to maximum, the game still runs very smoothely, but my legionaries still don't have feet during the day.

My question is... is that normal? Has it ever happened to you? Is it all due to my comp specs or is it some type of bug within the game?

Thanks for answers... and if this question doesn't fit here, please move it to RTW discussion.

I suppose you have the 'unit shaders (I think that's the name, ---- shaders anyway)' option off, right?
Try enabling that one (in the video options).

Yes, that was it. :) Lowering settings didn't help much and when I lowered unit details to minimum, not only my first cohort, but also my auxiliaries lost their feet, which they used to have before.

Finally I switched everything back as it used to be and turned on that unit shaders thingy. Now I can see the feet, sandals and everything.

Thanks very much for all replies and for the quick response.

Now... May barbarians be crushed under the SANDALS of the Roman armies. Literally

    Thanks again!
