Question Why do most moderaters have dark and mysterious avatars?

That question has been making me think for a long time. All moderaters (not assistant moderators) seem to have assasin MTW or RTW avatars, but why? There is a nice selection, they don't all have to look mean? So why do they do it?
    Thankyou.

They are mean. And they mean you to know they're mean.

All of the moderators are in fact the last of the mysterious cult of the hashishin, believed to have been wiped out centuries ago. They regularly assassinate the members they don't like, which is why I'm currently in hiding in the mountains. In fact I shouldn't even be telling you this...

I have just noticed that Epistolary Richard has just gone soft and gotten rid of his ninja avatar:

    Old Avatar

    New Avatar

Are the mods starting to ditch their old mysterious nature?

Have fun in your time as a mortal. I have noticed that you are still marked as a moderator. What you really need is to be defrocked of your powers and become a member/junior member while. Then you can know what it feels like to be next to the bottom/at the bottom.
