Default Need help choosing Conroe Mobo.

So I founf myself a nice E6600, and got a good bargain on an X1900XT, so all I need now is a mobo and RAM, I want DDR2 - fast DDR2 RAM compatability actually, but the thing is i dont have clue about Intel mobo's, I was always Athlon untill Core 2 Duo came out, so any help on a mobo (£150 max) and fasat RAM?

    Thanks in advance.

The ASUS P5B Deluxe is probably in that price range (I'm estimating from dollars to pounds sterling here) - the details and specifications can be found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131045

ATI has just released new drivers, and ASUS a new BIOS, that enable Crossfire in P965 chipset mobos. The ASUS P5B Deluxe will now support Crossfire, although with some limits - there's a nice article over at Anandtech (http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2837).

The other option, somewhat more expensive, is a ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131025), which uses the 975X chipset.

I have a 6600 and the above mentioned ASUS board. No problems so far, although havent pushed the clock very high yet so I cant report on overclocking. One thing about these ASUS boards is that their thermal diodes seem to report erronously high temps
