I'm positive that the sheep who've accepted the global warming scam won't read the speech, but I incourage everyone to. Its a real "Inconvinient Truth".

On a quick skim, he makes some fair points....

For instance, the "hockey stick" graph that started all this has been pretty thoroughly debunked on statistical grounds.

I definitely agree there. There is absolutely no balance in the major media outlets on the issue.

I remember recently seeing promos for a "documentary" on the Discovery channel called "Global Warming: What you need to know". With Tom Brokaw hosting it, I don't know what I really expected, but I thought there might at least be a token effort at balance. No chance- not once during the entire show was one skeptical scientists shown or interviewed and iirc they were still pimping the Mann "hockey stick" and ridiculing those who didnt understand the supposed urgency of global warming. It was a propoganda peice, plain and simple.

So I wonder , environment and petro-chemicals .....this individual wouldn't be the biggest senatorial recipient of "funding" from oil companies would he ?

Wonderful speech, truly amazing. For once someone has the balls to mention that the sun is actually responsible for heating the earth. After listening to Al Gore's book hype for awhile I was begining to wonder if the earth was actually indeed heated by the factories emboldened by the bush administrations relaxing of co2 emisions.

On a more serious note, it is great that someone with some common sense in the global climate is actually receiving some spotlight by the media. Man made global warming is truly 90% hype. The scientists who use facts to "prove" we've created this problem seem to ignore to many of those pesky historical notes like, we just came out of a minor ice age. Or the fact that the sun is producing more energy currently then at any other time in past centuries since records were kept.

Quite honestly I'm neither bothered by the current shift towards a hotter climate nor afraid of an oncoming disaster it could bring. I'm more concerned with the possibility of global cooling. Many major volcano's have recently become much more active. The one that caused the year with no summer (hey another fact they like to ignore), I forget its name atm, is currently back to its former glory and is on its way to becoming even larger then before. Not to mention it has also become alot more active recently. The sun in the next few decades is also predicted to stop producing such record high's in energy creation so for me, again the idea that catastrophe from global warming is far from reality in my mind.

Personally the idea that man has the power to control the entirety of earths climate by simply pumping out co2 and other gasses is a bit ubsurd. Too many other factors exist for this to happen, not to mention if we could heat it up, I'm 100% certain we could cool it down. I've always been interested in the fact that few scientists in the field mention any global impacts the romans had when they began to create massive smelting, mining and production sector's. I've heard of some historical notes mentioning that the smelting pits in Iberia produced enough smoke as to create a haze around them (sounds a bit familiar). Ice cores from greenland also back up this historical note as sharp rises in lead found in the cores. If they failed to cause a rise in global temperature then, why in the world would we today be the cause of it.

As for Kyoto imo it will stop technological growth that will lead to power sources that are greenhouse gas free. Its better to let the economy of higher oil prices lead to those anyways. Not to mention Fox news in had a special on a man who invented an ubsurdly efficient electrolysis machine for the navy, to replace the chemical burning blow torches the use now in hand welding. The guy had also had the idea to jerry rig it to his car, with no modification mind you managed to not only run his engine by combusting hydrogen but managed to get around 50 miles to a few gallons of water. They had also mentioned he was in talks with gm for a car. Had heard something about that a few weeks ago also. I'll see if i can't dig up that article.

Come on Pape , be fair it is a perfectly rational idea that to avoid Gods wrath America must make sure it's foriegn policies follow the old testament
