This mod is at the v 0.6, in which you can play only custom battles with 19 different factions.
This is a mod for Rome: Total War Barbarian Invasion version 1.6.
It is not supported by the Creative Assembly, and it's made to be a non-profit add on to the game.
All the contents of this add-on are proprieties of their respective owners.
Using thecontents of this mod for other works is fine, but only with the authorization o of the authors of the mod.
-------------------------------------------------------------
1. HOW TO INSTALL
First, you should copy your vanilla Rome and Bi data folder.
Then, just unzip the .rar file in your Rome:total war\data folder. If you're asked to overwrite, click yes.
There are two folders: data and bi. The data folder should go in rome\data, while the bi folder should be unzipped in the barbarian invasion folder.
-------------------------------------------------------------
2. HOW (AND WHAT) TO PLAY
Just go on single player--->custom battle. It should work fine with random battles too.
THERE IS NO CAMPAIGN GAME IN THIS VERSION!
-------------------------------------------------------------
3. HOW TO UNINSTALL
simply, rename the folders crusader is in, and rename to their original the vanilla rome and bi data folders you backuped.
Or,if you didn't backup, uninstall BI, delete the remaining files, and install BI once again.

4. FAQS AND NEXT RELEASES
q. is it a 100% realism mod or is it like BI?
a. well, we didn't want to touch these extremes, so it's going to be something in between. We wanted our mod to be most enjoyable, for us in the making as well as for you in the playing.
q. Will the republic of Barbonia become a real faction, someday?
a. Well, we are thinking about adding a faction, but we are still not sure of what, how and when. If you have suggestion (and army lists) tell us.
q. Sure, but what about Georgia?
a. Well, we already talked about this subject. give us a good army list and some good picture, and we can open the talk once again.
q. Will you add a campaign map, someday?
a. Sure! We were actually working on it, but the mapper suddenly went lost. We hope he didn't get hurt.
q. What will the map be like?
a. It will space from the alps to the modern iraq.(WE) and from Crimea to Northern Sudan (NS)
q. any awesome script to be implemented?
a. Crusading and raiding script are what we are working on.
q. Crusading script?
a. It's going to be one of the good parts of our mod. Once a city is conquered by an enemy army, we'll script an army to appear somewhere to retake it. For example, the egyptians took Jerusalem? With this script, a crusade will be declared and in more or less 10 years a crusader army will appear in anatolia. Same for edessa, for example. And we are thinking of other historical events (like the patzinak invasion in the balkans, or the emperor's barbarossa descent in northern italy).
q. Raiding script?
a. To simulate the medieval warfare, we are thinking to implement a script that allows a player to gain a certain amount of money for each unit he\she has on the enemy territory. Not a lot, tho.
q. I hate\love this mod | i'd like to see more screenshots | the unit balancing is crappy | i'll make you an offer you cannot refuse |
a. for general informations, there's our official site at http://www.crtw-mod.com/, for everything else (major previews, informations etc.) our forum at http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=101 will most probably fit for your needs.
