Default Peace Loving Christianity Shaping Young Minds

Reassuring isn't it that there are US Christian Madrassas:

Pray to George Bush and die for Jesus!

Lookie, we've got Christian terrorists-to-be, or at least, as close as one can get.

These things really make me wonder about people.

Some more Christians spreading the love:

This "Jesus Camp" thing is a fringe sect. It is an anomaly of the evangelical community, and by extension, the larger Christian community.

So the sarcastic title is quite an inaccurate generalization, not to mention offensive.

    The title is 'offensive'?!

Please, give me a break, I could give you 'offensive' if I had a mind to.
Yeah, these are fringe wackos, but every religion has them. You just don't like your own loonies in the spotlight.

So is all the stuff people have been saying about Islam in the backrooms. You're not trying to curb Idaho's freedom of speech are you??

Well, I wouldn't consider Reenk Roink's position as inconsistent since he shows the same tendency towards criticizing the continuous Islam-bashing in the Backroom as well.

The title is not directly offensive, in my opinion, though; simply sarcastic.

But I'm waiting for some anti-Islam people to take the bait...

What about "Atheist Nazis Shape Young Minds"?
Or "Atheist Communists Shape Young Minds"?
I may be able to find more, but erm, none of those kids killed another human yet if I understand that correctly. Also I agree with the reverend who said that the war-stuff is allegorical, it's meant to be a mental war.
If not, they are lunatics, their connection with Bush worries me a bit though.
My christian parents also shaped my mind when I was young, but so far I didn't feel like blowing myself up, I think the same goes for most people, whatever religion they may have.

Sad that some parts of america still harbour these hypocritical brainwashers. Anyone with any sense would not let their kids anywhere near these nutcases, let alone go off to a camp with them.

Until i start seeing videos or orgish of Christians lopping off heads and praising Jesus while doing it, I'll just giggle at your lame attempt to say, "See, Christians are just as evil as fundamentalist muslims". Nice try though. Maybe next week you can compare how the Mickey Mouse club and the Hitler youth were cut from the same cloth.

Different strokes for different folks. I sure as heck don’t approve and wouldn’t send my kid there but everyone in the US gets to be as coo-coo-ka-choo as they want to be without being beheaded or suicide bombed, just ridiculed by the masses.

The frustration comes later in life when you can blame all your woes and those of society on the liberal elite and their horde of poor!

    Is that all ?

NO! For a limited time only, if you buy in to the Christian club everything you do will be sanctioned by Christ himself! So no matter which way you go, you'll be knock knock knocking on heavens door!

Remember, this is a limited time offer. Act now before you die!

I like how everyone can only nitpick on the "offensive" portion of my post (agreed, that is subjective), while completely leaving the "generalization" alone, perhaps because it is so blatantly a generalization.

    "Peace loving Christianity" huh?

Christianity is a monolith? And it happens to be represented by a "Jesus Camp" that I've never heard of until today. And that's what makes it violent?

I'll say it's quite offensive thank you...

You can be offended, just so long as we can call you an overly sensitive PC liberal elitist who is going to ruin the world.

Bizarre camp? Seems so based on the article.
    Christian terrorists? Seems rather far-fetched

Anyway - this thread already has too many personal attacks to justify keeping it open.
