    Default BI -bad disk ?

So as I said in a previous thread, I just got BI, but when I install it and try to start it, it complains that I am using an incorrect disc (it also says this when i try to start it without a disc too I believe). Can this be due to a problem with the disc ? Has anybody else had a similar problem ?

This is turning out to be one crappy evening...

Which disk are you using when you try to start the game? I don't recall for certain, but I think it checks for the main RTW disk, not the BI disk.

Edit-- Well, I got home and checked, and it doesn't check for the main RTW disk after all. What kind of drive are you using? Some drives (notably combo drives and burners) have issues with some forms of copy protection. Try using a straight CD-ROM or DVD-ROM if you have one.

Are you using a illegal copy of BI?

    Not to my knowledge.

I bought it in a store, it does have a cd key although the manual (on the cd, nothing in print) states that you don't need one , the disc itself certainly looks legit.
