    Yes, I confess, I was the detective.

    I didn't get to reveal much to the townspeople myself, but on the other hand, if I were to do that, I would be killed, so everyone's happy!

    Essentially, I was left in the dark for the first three rounds. I picked anyone who my capricious will fancied. Then Masy, who I had my suspicions on, accused me and left the fan club. I was going to investigate him, but he was executed anyway.

    Heh, I'm sure everyone realizes that that whole post was pure BS. If you solve a 3-dimensional polynomial function, what you get isn't a discrete number of points, but a set of functions describing where your 3-D polynomial crosses the XZ plane (depending on how you label your axes).

    Anyway, I think that's right, but it's been like 6 years six I took all those college math classes. I had to use mathworld.com to come up with some of that stuff.

    Part of me is glad the villagers won such a quick victory, just to show that it is possible. The mafia have won the last 3 or 4 games in a row, and even the prior villager victories were spectacularly close affairs. The hapless villagers were about due for a lopsided victory.

    Still, I'm sorry it had to happen in a GeneralHankerchief game. GH, your games are the original and still the best. This one was shaping up to be a fantastic one - I can only hope my game has as much participation. I am truly, truly sorry to have ended it so quickly. As I said before, I will never, ever do that again. I wouldn't have done it this time if I knew Masy was the last mafioso.

    Some of you may remain curious about what I did, but I still can't say. It's a sort of "nuclear non-proliferation pact" on my part. I told one lie in this game, after all. Remember this?

    The real danger was never that it would fall into the hands of the mafia, but that it would fall into the hands of the villagers. Bringing an end to all mafia activity on this forum is just not worth it.

    Wow, that guy from A Beautiful Mind has got nothing on Kommodus.

    I'm gald that Sasaki was innocent, or I would have looked a bit silly.

    Over so soon?

    How the Hell did you get him after only two rounds of kills? Kommodus, I'm stunned.

    *Crazed Rabbit peeks out from behind his wall of sandbags in his bedroom. It is getting late in the day, and he has heard no explosions or gunshots. Cautiously, he looks up, holding his AR-15, CZ-75 in holster. Seeing nothing unusual (besides the numerous booby traps) he turns off the security systems and slowly makes his way outside.*

    I'm...alive? As a villager?

    Well, I've got to tip my hat to Kommodus. You've got something, alright. Is it really so powerful that it would destroy mafia? When I was detecitve, I managed to eliminate 1/5 or 1/4 of the people in the first couple rounds as innocent. I'd really like just a wee bit more info...

    Sorry for suspecting you, and Sasaki.

    I'll buy you both a mug at one of the many bars in town:

    Really, I don't think a commentary is needed. If you have a question about a particular event just ask me here. In lieu of a commentary, I'll just post who killed/investigated who each round.

    Round 1:
    -Disco kills Silver Rusher
    -Masy kills Tiberius
    -Reenk Roink investigates Sigurd Fafnesbane
    -Executed: Kagemusha

    Round 2
    -Disco kills Evil Maniac From Mars
    -Masy kills Myrddraal
    -Reenk Roink investigates doc_bean
    -Executed: Disco

    Round 3
    -Masy kills Leet Eriksson and Csar
    -Reenk Roink investigates King Henry V
    -Executed: Masy

    Round 4
    -Reenk Roink investigates Masy

    ~~~~~~~
    K, I guess asking you for that formula would be useless. I must say that you've become the new Dutch_guy in terms of freakish accuracy and I thank you for deciding to not to use it in the future.
    Good game, everyone. Let's all head over to Cosa Nuova now and keep the fun going!
    I'm interested...why was I killed? Generally I'd either narrowly escape a lynching or go around bandwagoning and watching. What did the Mafia really have to gain from my death?
    To cast suspicion on the more active members. That and we didn't really have anything to gain after I realized that killing the more active members wouldnj't shut them up. So clearly the best thing to do is to hurt their credibility.
    UltraWar noticed that there was no more letters asking about where the missing Osnium he borrowed from the Libyans went. He was also glad that the mafia were gone. Yet, there was still people who were willing to kill him for his prized work.
    UltraWar sighed and got into the DeLorean. He had to go back in time to fix this paradox in the Gameroom. The Mafia never lose, Never!
    UltraWar started up the engine muttering these final words:
    "Only the brave enjoy noble and glorious deaths"
    Btw Masy, why did you kill Myrddraal?
    It was actually Discos suggestion, but I hoped it would finger you in some way (which it did).
    No it wasn't. I suggested you kill a lurker and let Mydraal live, but you got the kill in first.
    Oops sorry, I posted my kill before I got your message. Who are you going to
    kill btw?
    Sorry, my bad. I was referring to this
    WARNING: MYRDDRAAL WILL BE TAKING A HARDCORE APPROACH TO THE GAME:
    from the chat:
    [17:22] Myrddraal: ah
    [17:22] Myrddraal: :)
    [17:23] Myrddraal: I'm a bit worried about bandwagoning in these mafia games...
    [17:23] Myrddraal: it seems to be the most deadly weapon availiable to the mafia
    [17:23] Myrddraal: I read the whole of the Godfather thread, and the ease with wich the Mafia controlled the mob was scary
    [17:24] craziest_mother_around: I don't pay all that much attention to the games
    [17:24] Myrddraal: well I haven't played in any before
    [17:24] Myrddraal: but nonetheless
    [17:24] Myrddraal: I intend to question every scrap of evidence that comes my way, and do so publically, with the intention of encouraging others to do the same
    [17:25] craziest_mother_around: I'm impressed.
    [17:25] Csar: I was waiting on posting my vote
    [17:25] Csar: Trying to get more facts
    [17:25] Myrddraal: btw I have to ask, when players of these games refer to 'the chat' are they talking about this chat?
    [17:26] Myrddraal: problem is that there are no facts really
    [17:26] Csar: but since it's the first round I doubt there will be much info
    [17:26] craziest_mother_around: probably
    [17:26] Csar: yeah this is what there talking about
    [17:26] Myrddraal: the first few lynches will be fairly random I fear
    It would probably be a good idea to kill him off within the first 3 or 4 rounds.
