    Do you have an on-board video card ? Then you could try using that.

    we have eliminated the videocard by trying another videocard... even without videocard it gives an error... the problem seems to be in either my memory or my harddrive

    If it's a memory failure your motherboard should make a large "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep" noise when booting up.
