Default Life is unfair...and I love it !

    Ah,

people always complain about how unfair life is when something doesn't quite go their way. But every so often, you just realize that you've gotten something beyond what could be expected. Sometimes life deals you a good hand, and sometimes life deals you a bad one. I guess that's part of what keeps it interesting.

    I love you guys

There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

meh, the good hands you get are seldom good enough to compensate the bad hands...

Or if you've found a girl that isn't psychopath or fat: congratulations!

I think we often don't appreciate how good the hands we are dealt really are. How many of us suffer from severe disabilities, persecution, poverty, abuse, and so forth. I'm sure there are those on this board who do face serious trials, but what about living, smelling grass after it rains, friends and family, having enough to eat, having an internet connection, reading a good book, and on and on. Life is full of wonderfully positive things that we so often overlook to focus on a few bad aspects. A change of perspective will do more to make one happy then any number of the 'good hands' you hope to be dealt. Anyway, I'm glad Doc is recognizing some of the good things he gets to experience. Some people never do.

edit: and pie. How could I forget pie?

Don't worry, Legio, I was only quoting Dennis the Peasant's wife for a bit of levity It just struck me that your first post was funny in the same way - but I'll edit it out as you ask. Life is unfair that way.

I have been dealt some bad **** in my time. I know life stinks a lot. It hurts. But that pain is what makes us human. And being human is the greatest joy of all. (Despite the bull**** the Catholics and Buddhists may feed you.)

    Keep being happy.
