Whats the point of instant replay if it isn't done right?
If a team uses a replay up to correct a bad call, then they dont have any replayes left for other bad calls...
How can one conference, the Pac 10, have a rule that says only PAC 10 refs can work PAC 10 home games when no other conference has such rule?
How can a computerized BCS system take into account that OU was robbed with a minute to go in the game, when normally a simple possession and 3 knees would end the game with OU winning?
How can you look at a replay as a ref and say we are looking for X, but we also saw a bad call of Y, but we cant correct that because the reply was for X not Y, is this a grand jury hearing or Bill Clinton meshing the word "is?"
Don't get me wrong, OU was not gonna get a national title, we had no illusions of that. But the mere fact that 2 terrible, completely suspect calls that robbed the underdog visitors vs the favored home team with a minute left in the game, all while the audience, the coaches and the media voices screamed "you are wrong" tells me that something stinks. this may be college ball, but it is far from pure high school sports. This is a business.
Enjoy your win, oregan, and your inflated BCS standing thanks to the computers. Funny thing is, I'm not even a sports fan, but i root for my almor mada, and i stand up for it as well, and this was total crap ten times over.
