I thought about it, and I think 255 turn limit is probably a good idea, because it's a historical game, so what they could do is let the players decide if they want to continue after the 255 turns or not.

And, "yes", to answer someone's question about if they will include night battles.

Yes there is a photo to prove that in another post.
Still I agree that I'm sure 225 will be fine, and who knows in final version maybe there is some way to continue after it. Same way you could continue after you had your 50 provinces as Rome, you could continue just no more world events.
Yea to guy who said his comp may not run it, here's hoping that half of us have a graphics card decent enough to see these graphics in detail, who knows what kinda pc these videos are runnin on![]()
I'm looking forward to it a lot and I think graphically the game is head and shoulders above Rome even though it uses the same engine. I know most people go on and on about how graphics don't matter and it's just about gameplay, but I'd be shocked if a new game didn't show improvement graphically! I appreciate the artwork that goes into these titles.
I'm very worried that the battles will be more along the lines of RTW than MTW, though. I hope that the developers leave enough open so that more protracted battles can take place. This is both an historical thing for me and also a gameplay thing. Regarding the former, I got the sense from Rome that my 5 minute battle translated to about 30 minutes in real time! Regarding the latter, I loved the long battles with tons of units in MTW where I just barely had enough units to get by.

Dam my Agincourt battle thread got deleted. I think it's because of the sticky about unauthorized videos, demos and stuff that doesn't belong to CA.
From the videos I see, their chloriographing (spell this for me) is pretty dam good. Their graphics heads and shoulders above RTW. But I wanna wait for the demo to see how you guys and myself say about the gameplay before I buy the full game.
Indeed. I'm taking advice from other staff, but right now I think that thread would just cause trouble if left to stand.Originally Posted by blahblahblah

Sorry if this has been raised elsewhere but could anyone confirm which are the 11 catholic factions? I'm pretty sure that all the armies I want to play are catholic, which is a shame as I'd rather not have the interference of the pope.
Hopefully MTW2 is radically changed from RTW, if not, it's back to MTW for me.
