BI: Cannot Place Rebel army to Rebel Cities!

hi,

i gave all proviences of WRE to rebels except N&S Italy, Sicilia and Caralis.
i also added some rebel armies to the towns i gave rebels, game worked, but there isnt any army in my rebel towns...

suggestions?

Are you sure you were editing the right campaign? Are you sure you got the right coordinates for the armies? If yes in both cases, post the relevant segment of your descr_strat file so people can have a look at it. And use show_err (link in sig).

i am editing descr_strat.txt in the folder of "E:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\bi\data\world\maps\campaign\barbarian_invasion"

what i added to the end of rebel armies section of the file is this:

ok, if no one knows the answer, at least tell me if a campaing editor is avaliable for BI or not?

Most usual cause of non-appearing rebels is a typo above the rebel army section in descr_strat.

there are some errors such as having additional } or accidentally including odd characters like hitting ` instead of tab which will let game load but effectively stop it reading further down the strat file than the point where the error occured.

When you load game look at the settlements toward the end of descr_strat if the later ones are appearing as villages without buildings - when they should be towns etc. then your error is above that settlement in the file
