old drivers for STW?

I want to buy STW and I wonder if the MTW problem regarding the drivers is found also here.
My graphic card is a good-old GeForce 2 MX.

I'm not sure about nVidia, but with my ATI 9800 I have to use drivers that are 2 years old to get STW and MTW to work properly. Of course, these old drivers don't work with some new games. You also have to be careful to use the standard MS Windows video and audio codecs. If you've installed software which has changed these codecs, you can have a lot of trouble with STW locking up or crashing. I ran all the STW sound files through an mp3 to mp3 converter instead of trying to find the audio codec that worked with STW, and that worked to solve the lockups when the game plays the sound files.
