To be honest, I’ve seen nearly the same quality from Rome Mods currently available, to be honest the only difference I can see is that you can zoom in even closer – which isn’t very practical “mid-battle”.

What I’m thinking though is that the Demo isn’t doing the graphics the justice they deserve and these screen shots are not on par with the officially released screen-shots (think of that what you like). Also, screen “stills” don’t show what the animations are like and I hear these are well done indeed.

Truth is that virtually none of us will Zoom in that close whilst we’re playing, and I think the Demo looks fine from the suitable distance though not “vastly” better than Rome……..discounting the fortresses.

Fortresses look impressive in the demo and on the official releases but so are the settlements in Rome……they’re just deliberately “low key” due to the era being portrayed.

Hmmm….sitting and hoping that the demo isn’t reflective of the detail in the full game now.
The animations are well done but they don't 'connect' very often which makes them a little odd, this may have been fixed by now.

I for one will certainly zoom in that close, I'm very pleased that CA have chosen to go to such lengths (provided they get it right) because time after time I have been involved in battles where its going well enough that you can zoom in and watch, but in Rome we had clone armies performing the same animations, which was ok for the time but by now it is quite dull, I relish the prospect of on those occasions where the battle is going well enough I can zoom in and watch my superbly detailed and animated troops carve through the enemy.
