30 faction limit?

Ive heard word that CA has raised the faction limit to thirty factions. Can anyone prove or disprove this?

They only put in 21. Until we have the game and try and add a 22nd we won't know.

Yes but something had to happen for this '30 faction limit' thing to just come up. Im wondering what spurred this if anything at all.

In one of the pre-release interview the devs said that they were thinking about adding more factions up to a total of 30. They never followed up on that and said if they actually did it, but judging from the fact they only announced 21 factions, they never added this. Maybe in a future expansion
