    Default 30 faction limit?

    Ive heard word that CA has raised the faction limit to thirty factions. Can anyone prove or disprove this?

    They only put in 21. Until we have the game and try and add a 22nd we won't know.

    Yes but something had to happen for this '30 faction limit' thing to just come up. Im wondering what spurred this if anything at all.

    In one of the pre-release interview the devs said that they were thinking about adding more factions up to a total of 30. They never followed up on that and said if they actually did it, but judging from the fact they only announced 21 factions, they never added this. Maybe in a future expansion

    Or possibly the core game will only feathure 21 factions while the hardcoded limited might feathure 30 factions for modders to use.

    Well right now, no word or evidence suggest that the faction limit has increased.
    I think it will be safe to say that it will still be 21 factions.

    They made a change.You can modd the game easier.Just go in a file and change the 9 factions to yes there will be the irish and some others.So they made them but you need to go yourself and activate this option.

    I was under the impression that CA did at one stage (quite a while back) mention that they might raise the faction limit to 30, but weren't promising anything. The original announcement is gone, but there was some discussion about it in this old thread

    Why would CA make 9 other factions and than not include them for the casual gamer? I don't believe a word.

    It could, however, be possible that there is room for 9 more factions just like in the original MTW
