Default Healing on the battlefield? Request a crusade?

    Seems so...

In the battle statistic menu you get this colums for each unit:

    1. Experience gained
    2. Casualties sustained
    3. Casualties inflicted
    4. Casualties healed
    5. Prisoners caught
    6. Taken Prisoners
    7. Men

Beats me what exactly number 4 does or why is there. Maybe they healed them selfs right after the battle ...

As for the request a crusade menu (crusade targets)... you get all the known cities on the map listed and the message is this:

"Select target settlement from the list and click to request the Pope to commision a Crusade on the selected target"

I was so amazed back then that I forgot to click and passed over it takeing different menus to check.

    Cheers,

Cant remember from shogun (for sure) but IIRC 'healing casualties' after the battle has always been calculated. Thats why there are traits to increase the % healed.

Most people have known you can request crusades as that's been in quite a few videos and screenshots. Of course weather you actually get it depends on your relations with pope, or if you are pope

Casualties healed is a feature coming back from MTW.

If you win the battle, then some of your units who were lost during the battle were not killed but just injured enough to take them out of the battle. "casualties healed" represents that, and you get those units back.

Losers don't heal casualties though, I guess because the victor goes around and stabs the bodies to make sure they are dead.

That sounds about right. I mean if you win why would you let enemy gather back up his forces? :P

It was in RTW too. Could get a little nuts with the egyptians if you build shrines to their god of healing (imhotep?) and academies in every town.

maybe instead of stabbing those enemy men you should gain additional surviving prisoners, as in the losers survivors are captured and become prisoners or killed, your choice like it was in mtw for routing soldiers.

I still play MTW a lot and I never noticed this. What I did notice is that if you win the battle you get your soldiers back that were captured. If you lose, you can ransom back your captured soldiers and lose the soldiers you captured (fleeing and draging along prisoners isn't that easy). AFAIK MTW doesn't make distinctions between dead and wounded.
