    Default CTD after installing 1.2

Installed 1.2 over a fresh, unpatched install. Game works fine until I try to enter battle map, then CTD with "Unspecified error" message. Any thoughts or advice before I begin the extremely lengthy task of uninstalling and reinstalling?

    Please?

Did you unpack 1.2? If you did, you may well have forgotten to remove those ever-so-annoying files that make the game do exactly what you just described. Lord knows I forgot it several times before I finally made the connection that whenever I unpacked, my game stopped working. Turns out those bad files were the culprit. Dunno if that's your deal or not, but I hope so - it's an easy fix to go delete 'em. If you need the names, the unpacker readme gives 'em IIRC.

    Beyond that, I dunno.

    Bingo.

    Thanks, I forgot about that.
