    Default The critical factor value

As I'm doing units stat I'm wondering what are the effect of the critical factor value, basical RTW vanilla is often 1 and 0.73
    stat_pri 9, 18, no, 0, 0, melee, simple, piercing, spear, 0 ,0.68
I know this means that a soldier can kill easly a soldier by crittical hit but many mods use different values, what is the difference if I use 0.68 or 0.72 does it mean something for the AI and it's choices ?

.68 or .85 are the % chance after gaining a hit, of that weapon causing a kill, rather than a on your back and get back up animation.

the 1 or 15 are missile rather than close combat.

so a unit has a % chance to hit based on attack v defense, then a % chance to kill based on weapon. Bonuses like ap, piercing etc seem to be applied at the to hit % chance stage.
