So I can play it while lying on the couch sinking a cold one...

I bought this in expectation of MTW2, the only thing left is a 5.1 surround sound system...

I think I may even take a photo so you can all bask in the glory of true power and comfort...

Sounds like my computer's identical twin. Thing is mine can just make it to medium and have a huge unit size (with no shadows). The only small problem is that it struggles in large battles. The better performance may be because my GeForce 4 MX is the MX 4000 and has 128MB. Most Geforce 4 MXs are only 64MB. However I have a freind who has to play RTW with a Geforce 2 MX200 64MB. She has my deepest sympathy.

Goodness, talk about large battles. They always lag like crazy, and sometimes during crucial battles, when I launch the massed cav charge that will scatter the whole army, the comp hangs in the moment of victory because it can't handle five to six units of enemies suddenly routing X_x

Oh it is. You should see the graphics, all blurry with fuzzy edges, it can hardly make it on the lowest settings for everything. I have however seen RTW worse under some 32MB card that I have never heard of, it froze whenever you fired a missile of any type, it showed stone walls as black rectangles, some units were just black silhouettes when you zoomed in, all banners were grey and worse of all grass was black too. Now that was bad! Luckly for the person who had that card they decided to upgrade to a Nvidia 6200 soon after playing their first battle.

So far I can tell you I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700, 60GB Memory, and a 64AMD Anthlon something-something.

The only thing that bugs me is that it gets HOT after 3+ hrs of game play my PC start getting REAL HOT and the game starts to LAG!!! Before I installed EB and Panda Internet Sec. my lattop lagged after 4+ hrs. WFT!!!

Ah, the laptop I had before could barely handle RTW on the very lowest of settings. It had just 20 Gb harddisk... All black & white loading screens.

Still it was great fun, even the fact that I was able to actually play RTW was very statisfying.

Btw those Intel chipsets are not that great as you might think they are, I can play EB on medium - high settings, but I have to accepted a bit of a lag.

Anyway it's allways sweet to see someone defending others who are not that fortunate.
